We've got legs!

Our garage storage cabinets and workbenches are built on adjustable leg levelers. Leg levelers keep the wood off the floor to protect the garage storage cabinets from water damage. The legs also allow for access for pest control as well as termite inspection. Termites are a major problem in Arizona and most companies garage cabinets cover up the stem wall, the place where termites are most likely to be noticed. 

Materials

STS Garage Cabinets and work benches are constructed from 5/8" industrial grade particle board for superior strength. We use a pine board instead of the cheaper fir material. The exterior surface is a cold rolled melamine

 T-Molding 

We utilize a vinyl T-Molding for the exterior edges of the cabinets and doors. We have found that the T-Molding is more durable than the machine applied edge banding that is used by some garage storage cabinet companies. The T-Molding is also not susceptible to the peeling and separation that can happen to edge banding, especially in the hot climate of Arizona.


Amerock Hinges

Amerock hinges are backed by a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. We use only Amerock hinges in our garage storage cabinets.


Adjustable Shelves 

Unless you have a crystal ball and can see into the future you really need adjustable shelves to fully utilize the space in your garage cabinets for home storage. You may never need to adjust your shelves after you have loaded your cabinets, but trying to get items to best fit the first time is made easy with our adjustable shelves. We use metal shelf standards that allow you to adjust the shelves in 1/2" increments. The shelf standards are supported by the cabinet base and not just hanging by screws from the side walls. Make your cabinets work for you, insist on adjustable shelves.

Design 

The best quality material will do you no good if the cabinet is not designed and constructed properly. We start with a layer of 5/8" industrial grade material on top of our adjustable leg levelers. Next we add a second layer of 5/8" material to give you a 1 1/4" thick base. An inverted U shape is formed with cleats onto the garage wall and the sidewalls are connected to this U shaped frame. This design is what allows us to use adjustable shelves without weakening the cabinet structure.
